Dr. Alberto Pagán is the Chief of Aesophagogastric and Bariatric Surgery at the Son Espases University Hospital. In 2015 he founded the Centro Integral de Nutrición Islas Baleares (CINIB), with a multi-disciplinary team including endocrinologists, bariatric surgeons, nutritionists, clinical psychologists, personal trainers and physiotherapists. Dr. Pagán is a member of the Sociedad Española de Cirugía de la Obesidad (SECO), of the Sociedad Española para el Estudio de la Obesidad (SEEDO) and the Sociedad de Cirugía Laparoscópica y Robótica (SECLA). Since 1989 he has been President of the Surgery Section of the Balearics Medical College.

The Centro Integral de Nutrición Islas Baleares (CINIB) has a new approach to treating all types of overweight and obese patients of all ages. Patients are given nutritional and diet plans, or a non-invasive ELIPSE Balloon  by our specialist team. The centre supports the Club CINIB, an initiative of Dr. Pagán to deal with common problems, help patients to stick to their treatment, organize nutrition workshops and form pre- and post-surgical self-help groups.
